Community Financial Literacy will help new Mainers (refugees and new Immigrants) with tools that will enable them make sound money management decisions and facilitate their integration into mainstream American Financial system. CFL is committed to provide refugee and new Immigrant communities with financial tools in their support to reaching their dream goals.
CFL is responding to a growing financial literacy needs among new comers and will be offering financial workshops, seminars, classes and one on one counseling in the following area at no cost to client.

- Credit & Credit report
- Savings & Basic Investment
- Be Money smart
- Saving to build wealth
Some of the above workshops or classes can be done in one session but others may require more than one session. In additional to the above programs, community financial literacy will offer tax savings tips and assist people with their taxes during tax season.
CFL will meet you “where you are” and help you, we willfocus on location or centers throughout the state of Maine that houses many refugee and new Immigrant communities. Even if our focus is on helping new comers, we are open to any individual willing to take advantage of our seminars, classes or workshops. We understand that financial literacy is an essential survival tool for all American families.
