A Leading Organization in Financial Education for Maine Refugees and New Immigrants

     Immigrants and refugees represent a powerful consumer market, although many lack a basic understaning of and access to U.S. financial tools. This can hinder their financial stability and integration into communities.

     Community Financial Literacy seeks to support these people make sound money management decisions. We offer classes, workshops, and one-on-one counseling on basic financial skills. We also have a wealth of resources that you can view.


Be Money Smart & Financial Literacy in Our Neighborhood

CFL will be offering two basic financial litaracy classes.

1. Be Money Smart, a class being sponsored by Coastal Enterprise.

  • Location: 94 Washington avenue, Portland, ME at the Root Cellar Building

2. Financial Literacy in Our Neighborhood, sponsored by Maine Housing and Portland Adult Education starting April 30,2010

  • Location: 57 Douglass St Portland, Maine ( PAE building).
